Paul Arthur Kireilis, 73, a lifelong resident of Brockton, peacefully passed away at home under hospice care on January 31, 2025. Born in Brockton on June 5, 1951, the middle child and only son of the late Arthur and Johanna “Ann” (Crowley) Kireilis. Raised in the North End of Brockton, he was known as “Adam” by many throughout his life.
After graduating Brockton High in 1969, he went on to study at Wentworth Institute and Texas A&M, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in environmental design. He went on to work for Camp, Dresser, McGee, Charles T. Main, and Jacobs Engineering as a draftsman. Through this work, he traveled to Egypt for a year and enjoyed traveling throughout Africa and Europe. After leaving engineering, he was a funeral attendant at Waitt Funeral Home and also worked with his childhood friend, Donald Fitzgerald, in the insurance industry.
In 1982, Paul married Jeanne L. Holmes and went on to have two beautiful children, Alexander Kireilis and Courtney Kireilis. He enjoyed his many friends from childhood and those he met throughout his life. He loved music and could name every song’s artist as well as the year the song was released. Another passion was reading trilogies and his Kiplinger magazine. He spent many years supporting his children’s sport endeavors, and more recently, his twin grandsons, Declan and Liam. He also loved his faithful companions, Onyx, Sterling and Roxie.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jeanne; his children, Alexander Kireilis (Augustinha Fidalgo) and Courtney Kireilis; his grandsons, Declan and Liam Kireilis; his sisters, Anne Kuliesis (Thomas) and Eileen Dickinson; as well as his many cousins, nephews, nieces, and brother and sister in-laws.
