Paul Hayes Obituary

Paul R. Hayes, 88, of Rhode Island, formerly of Brockton for 37 years, passed away Nov. 27, 2021.  He was originally from Boston and was retired from work as a machinist at Pneumatic Scale in Quincy. Paul loved music, joking, dancing, chocolate and Honeydew chocolate muffins.

Paul was the husband of the late Barbara R. (Vokes) Hayes; beloved father of June Hayes of Brockton, Mark Hayes and his wife Donna of Bridgewater, and Marie Hayes and her significant other James Fortier of Lincoln, R.I.; loving grandfather of Katelyn, Jacob, Steven (and Rose), Cassidy, Dillon and Kaia; dear great-grandfather of Samuel and Micah; brother of Judy Falcone of Hyde Park and the late John Hayes and Eleanor Sheehan; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to calling hours Friday, December 3 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. with 11:30 a.m. prayer service, all at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, and burial at Melrose Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or MA Commission for the Blind.
