Patrick Charles, a food services worker for over 30 years and long-time resident of Boston, Massachusetts, died unexpectedly on December 23, 2020 at age 53. Patrick is survived by his father Jean Charles. He was predeceased by his mother, Anne M. Elcius.
Patrick was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and emigrated to the United States as a child. He graduated high school in New York City then moved to Boston to be near his mother.
Patrick leaves his siblings Sabine Charles, Adonaise Pasquet, and Alain Charles; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Patrick was a devout Catholic and involved with many church activities. Patrick loved science and books and enjoyed reading political thrillers and science fiction. Patrick also enjoyed debating and was able to eloquently articulate his position on many subject matters as well as having a keen ability to listen to alternative ideas. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
All are welcome to his funeral Mass Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton (limited occupancy) and burial at Melrose Cemetery. Live streaming of the funeral will be available. Face masks and social distancing required.
