Pamela Mary Edith Woodman Sheehan

Pamela Mary Edith Woodman Sheehan of New Bedford MA died on May 3, 2022. Born in Weymouth, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy Joseph and Mildred L. (Martin) Woodman. Pamela grew up in Holbrook, MA in the home her father built. She graduated from Holbrook High and went on to attend classes at Massasoit Community college.

She spent her early years as a switch board operator for the telephone company. Pamela worked in the Brockton Public School system at the Downey School serving and teaching Special Education students. She and her husband raised their family in Brockton, MA and in early 90’s relocated with their youngest daughter to Southern California.

Pamela carried her love of teaching to California and worked for many years at Cathedral City High School as a paraprofessional in Special Education. She retired from Riverside County Unified School district of California. Pamela was an avid volunteer in her retirement. She loved animals and volunteered at Angel View animal shelter, in addition she spent 10 plus years volunteering at a local nonprofit Food Now in Desert Hot Springs, CA. Pamela moved back to the East Coast in 2017 to live with her daughter Wendy. Pamela loved crafting, everything Elvis, and taking long walks. She enjoyed visiting flea markets and antique shops. Pam loved eating out, especially fried clams and enjoyed her black hot tea. She always looked forward to spending time with her family and talking to her longtime friend Mike Trohanowsky of Cathedral City, CA.

Pamela was the loving mother of Brian Sheehan (and Lisa) of North Easton, MA, Wendy Sheehan of New Bedford, MA, and Janice Sheehan. Most Beloved Nana to Liana Ribeiro, Elijah Ribeiro Jossiah Ribeiro. Daniel Lombard, Dana Lombard and Audrey Lombard. She was the adored eldest sister to the recently late LeRoy J. Woodman Jr. of Brockton (and Linda), Wayne Woodman and his wife Kathy of Florida and the late Janice and Wendy Woodman. Pamela was preceded in death by her late loving husband of 39 years William Joseph Sheehan. Beloved Aunt to LeRoy Woodman III (and Lisa), Seth Woodman (and Sheryl), Jason Woodman, Erin Woodman, Melissa Woodman Gronholm, Gabriel Woodman and Joshua Woodman, and many great nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to her memorial gathering Friday, May 20th, 2022 from 9 to 10 a.m. and memorial service at 10 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Committal at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to your favorite charity.
