Pamela H. (Irwin) Sokol, 65, of Brockton, passed away on July 30, 2024. Born in Boston and raised in Quincy, she was the daughter of the late William and Frances (Doherty) Irwin. Pam graduated from North Quincy High School and later received her associate degree from Aquinas Jr. College in Milton.
Pamela had a successful career as a retired executive assistant in human resources at various companies. She was an active member of St. Margaret's Church and Our Lady of Lourdes Church. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, going to Wollaston Beach, and getting lunch with her friends.
Pamela was the beloved wife of Christopher P. Sokol for nearly 40 years. She was a loving mother to Christina Vargas and her husband Juan of Mansfield, William Sokol of Brockton, and Stephanie Sokol and Ryan Fitzgerald of Bridgewater. She was an adoring grandmother to Owen Vargas and a cherished sister to Elizabeth (and Edward) Lynch of Norwood and Carol Walsh (and Richard) of Plymouth. In addition, she was a devoted sister-in-law and a treasured aunt and great aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Pamela will be deeply missed and cherished by her family and friends. All are welcome to calling hours on Tuesday, August 6th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton. Her funeral will take place at Waitt Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 7th, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West St., Brockton.
