Oscar Bauerle Obituary

Oscar Bauerle, 93, of Whitman, formerly of Brockton for 50 years, died June 13, 2022. Born in Poland, of German descent, he was a son of the late Christian and Elisabeth (Sager) Bauerle. He was a retired cook and baker for United Airlines and was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church. Oscar loved animals and enjoyed baking for others and hosting visitors at his home.

Oscar was the husband of the late Lilli (Kirsch) Bauerle; father of Elinore Diggs and her husband Leonard of Maryland, Gisela Bauerle of Whitman, and Ingrid Haertlein and her husband Gregory of Abington; grandfather of Stephen Diggs and Leonard Diggs III; brother of Maria Rose and Gertrude Japke, both of Germany, and the late Magdalena, Else, Heinrich, Alfred, and Jacob; brother-in-law of Bruno Kirsch and his wife Lucy of Brookline; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to calling hours Friday, June 17th from 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, his funeral Saturday, June 18th at 9:30 a.m. in Temple Baptist Church, 540 Manley St., West Bridgewater, and interment following at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Face masks would be appreciated.
