Neil Thomas Phillips Jr., 65, of Norwell, passed away on October 16, 2024, after a long illness. Neil was born in Boston, grew up in Hull and graduated from Hull High School in 1977. Neil was a star goalie with the Hull Pirates and continued to follow the team for many years. He went on to join the Army National Guard earning a commendation as an M16 Rifle Marksman and later worked alongside his father in the 1058th Transportation Company in Hingham. However, Neil’s true calling was HVAC where he excelled as a Master Technician, some calling him a “wizard” at his craft.
Neil is survived by his children Meredith Lee Phillips, Brittany Cavallo, Tiffany Sisk, Joshua and Alexander Phillips, siblings Kevin Phillips, Lynne Putnam, Cheryl Holmgren and Daryl Phillips, stepmother Charleen Phillips and stepsisters Marie Gardner, Dawn Kearns and Gina Walker, and many nieces and nephews; he was predeceased by parents Neil T. Phillips Sr. and Lucille M. Asiaf, daughter Lindsay Nicole Phillips and brother Francis Phillips. Neil is finally healed and has found the peace and happiness he was always searching for.
All are welcome to his memorial calling hours on Monday, October 28th from 4-7pm with a closing prayer at 6:45pm at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main Street, Brockton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association(diabetes.org).
