Natalia (Sifontes) Rivera

Natalia (Sifontes) Rivera, 93, of Brockton, passed away on June 10, 2021. She was born in San Salvador, El Salvador on December 2, 1927. Natalia immigrated to the United States in the 1960’s, escaping war and turmoil in her native land. With hard work and focus, she made a comfortable life for herself and her family. She resided in Cambridge for many years before settling in Brockton with her daughter. Natalia doted on her only daughter, and they enjoyed dining together, gardening, and trips back home to El Salvador. She was also a dedicated grandmother and great-grandmother who loved family time.

Natalia was the wife of the late Carmelo Rivera; beloved mother of Ana E. Johnson of Brockton; loving grandmother of many, including Matthew C. Parsons of Abington and the late Claiborne M. Parsons; great-grandmother of Heather E. Parsons and Danielle J. Parsons; and the stepmother of Raymond Rivera of Cambridge and Martin Rivera of Saugus.

All are welcome to her funeral from Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton on Tuesday, June 15th at 8:30 a.m., and her funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Edith Stein Church, 71 East Main St., Brockton. Private committal.
