Monique Gibosse, 83, of Randolph, passed away peacefully at home on October 21, 2023 surrounded by her family. Born in Jeremie, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Amelia (Cazeau) Gibosse. Monique worked as a home health aide and nannie for many years until her retirement. Devoted to her faith, she was a longtime communicant of St. Bernadette Church and St. Mary Church in Randolph. She loved music and was a great dancer.
Monique was the beloved mother of Jean Lunick Laforest of Randolph, Marjorie Montfort of Brooklyn, New York, and Albert Gibosse of Randolph; loving grandmother of Sebhastien, Marsha, Dimitri, and Moses; loving great-grandmother of Basquiat and Sahvien; dear sister of Delia Gibosse and Ernst Gibosse; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews: Jean Philipe, Erna, Stephan, Nadia, Maurice, Marguerite Daphney, Jennifer, Nora, Najean, Kalippe, Marlia; sister-in-law of Evelyne Gibosse; beloved cousin of Marguerite Balmir, Michelle Target, Jack Target, and Guy Target; loving Godmother of Nadine and Claudette; and a beloved friend of Marise, Pierrot, Gehanne, Mamaille, Marie Claire, Guito, Juaquin, Guerline, Grace, Monique, Elsie, Jeanty, Wilson, and Jean Marc Yvette.
All are welcome to calling hours on Saturday, October 28th from 8-10 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton, her funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 211 N. Main St., Randolph. Burial to follow at Central Cemetery, 327 North St., Randolph.
