Modiles Soivilien, 89, of Brockton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 10, 2019. Born in Port-de-Paix, Haiti, he was the son of the late Avilma Soivilien and Nelsina Choutte. A devoted Catholic, he was a longtime parishioner of Christ the King Parish. Modiles was the beloved husband of Louisena Jean Soivilien for 59 years; loving father of Gerald Soivilien, Boniface Soivilien and his wife Fenesia, Augustin Soivilien, Sylvie François and her husband Pierre, Clairianne Soivilien, Veronique Soivilien, Elande Soivilien and her companion Jodys, Phanor Soivilien, and the late Guerda, Sylvia, and Nelcine Soivilien; dear grandfather of Geralda L. Soivilien and her husband Dr. David Lalanne, Marie Annite Soivilien, Pierre Francois, Jose E. Soivilien, Steve S. François, Christina Rodrique, Veridson Emmanuel Felissaint, Blandine Soivilien, Dadou Soivilien, Amanda Soivilien, Steph Soivilien, Benedicte Soivilien, Antony François, and Grace Désiré; and great-grandfather of Jeremiah Phillipe and Anne-Laurie Lalanne. Modiles also leaves many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. All are welcome to calling hours Friday, November 22nd from 6-9 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Saturday, November 23rd at 8 a.m., funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton and burial at Melrose Cemetery.
