Mireille Thélong Ricot, 50, of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly on October 2, 2023. Born in Savanette, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Philacy Thélong and Menastha Céné. Mireille worked in healthcare for many years, beginning her career at AdviniaCare Baypointe in Brockton, then later working for Good Samaritan Medical Center, New England Sinai Hospital, Brockton Neighborhood Health Center and most recently working for the V.A. Hospital in Brockton.
Mireille had a natural caring disposition and loved all children, especially doting on her own. She loved helping others and showed her affection by cooking delicious meals for everyone. Education was important to her, and she never missed an opportunity to learn new concepts and ideas. Mireille enjoyed watching the news, traditional African films, and romance movies and loved listening to gospel music. She was a Christian woman and was active in various area churches throughout the years.
Mireille was the beloved wife of Eddy Ricot; devoted mother of Samuel Ricot and Sarah Micaela Ricot; loving sister of Remilus Thélong, Pierre André Thélong, Rezinette Thélong, Marie Carmelle Thélong, Adrienne Thélong, and Hermithe Thélong; and a cherished aunt, sister-in-law, cousin, and friend of many. She will be sadly missed.
All are welcome to her funeral service on Saturday, October 14th at 9:30 a.m. at Brockton Church of God, 80 Pleasant St., Brockton with viewing in the church beginning at 8 a.m. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton. Live streaming of Mireille’s funeral will begin at 9 a.m.
