Michel Jean-Claude Bernadel, 80, of Brockton, passed away on July 31, 2023. Born in Miragoâne, Haiti, he was the son of the late Pousley and Andree (Dambreville) Bernadel. He was an entrepreneur, having owned a successful record store (Amical Records) in his earlier years. He then worked as a bus driver. His outgoing and charismatic nature later led him to a career in party promotions.
Michel was kind spirited and made friends everywhere he went. He was especially devoted to his family and loved the time spent with them. Michel loved to travel, loved taking pictures, and he was an avid soccer fan and was a lover of music.
Michel was the beloved husband of Marie Solange (Viaud) Bernadel; loving father of Mildred Guerrier of Canada, Teddy Claude Bernadel of Boston, and Marvelyn Bernadel of Brockton; dear grandfather of Shaniqua Bowman, Malaika Antoine, Yasmine Antoine, Shayla Bernadel, and Raelyn Deller; great-grandfather of Tron Griffith Jr.; cherished brother of Marie Antonine Bernadel, Edner Dambreville, Marguerite Dambreville, and the late Hugh Bernadel and Marie Loude Bernadel; uncle of many nieces and nephews. He also leaves many cousins and friends, including the Dambreville, Gousse, and Francois families.
All are welcome to his viewing on Sat., Aug. 12th from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton, funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton, and burial at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton. Repast following the funeral will be held at The Perfect Place, 2039 Main St., Brockton.
