Michael K. Mahoney

Michael K. Mahoney, 71, of Plymouth, passed away Jan. 24, 2023 at home surrounded by his family after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was raised in Avon, a son of the late Edward and Mary Mahoney, and graduated from Avon High School in 1970. After earning a Bachelor's Degree from SMU Dartmouth he was employed at various companies as a director of transportation and distribution. He and his beloved wife Dona (Lambert) Mahoney were married in 1976 and raised their family in Plymouth. They were all about weekend family activities and enjoyed being members at Penguin Ski Club in Lincoln NH for many years. He loved alpine skiing, outdoor activities, RV camping, worldwide travel and he was a dedicated Boston sports fan and dog Dad. Mike was the loving father of Christopher Mahoney, Ryan Mahoney and his wife Kathleen, and Sara Mahoney; adoring grandfather of Caitlyn, Calleigh, Conor, Eliza and Charlotte Mahoney; close cousin of Peter Pederzani; brother-in-law of Denise and Sean Gardner; uncle of Jessica McNamara; and brother of the late David Mahoney. Following cremation, all are welcome to his memorial calling hours on Wed. Feb. 1st from 3 to 6 p.m. with a 5:30 p.m. prayer service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton.
