Michael C. "Bubba" Holmes

Michael C. "Bubba" Holmes, 67, of Brockton, passed away on December 21, 2025. He was the son of the late Stella R. (Fedele) and Charles B. Holmes Jr. and a graduate of Brockton High School. Hardworking and skilled with his hands, he was a lead foreman at Controlled Environment Structure in Mansfield for 36 years. Mike excelled in carpentry and was also the owner and operator of MCH and Sons.

An avid sports fan, he enjoyed coaching football in West Bridgewater and rooting for the New England Patriots. Mike loved to travel and spend summers RV camping down the Cape at Maple Park. He was in his true element relaxing at home with some Bud Lights and Dr. McGillicuddy's. He will be deeply missed.

Michael was the beloved husband of Deborah P. (Sergio) Holmes; loving father of Jennifer Rivera (and Dennis) of Brockton, Jason Holmes (and Linden) of Dartmouth, and Justin Holmes (and Courtney) of Wareham; grandfather of Devin Martinez, Jared Holmes, Jaelynn Holmes, Layla Rivera, Hailey Holmes, Jayda Rivera, Dallas Holmes, Mackenzie Almeida, and Lyli Almeida; brother of Donna Domingos (and Michael) of Wareham, and David Holmes of Sarasota, FL; brother-in-law of Dianne Nevirauskas (and Roy) of FL; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to calling hours on Monday, December 29th from 9-10:30 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. funeral service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton and burial at Calvary Cemetery, 95 N. Cary St., Brockton.
