MaryRose (MacDonald) Foley, 86, of Brockton, formerly of Kingston, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026. Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Marie (MacIntosh) Macdonald. She was a teacher’s aide for the Natick Public Schools for many years and later worked as a clerk at the CVS in Marshfield.
MaryRose was the wife of the late Thomas R.A. Foley; beloved mother of Raymond F. DeGaust of Kingston, Sandra M. Johnson (Scott A.) of Brockton, and Kimberley Haverty (John) of Mattapoisett; loving grandmother and great-grandmother of many; dear sister of Theresa Croteau, Alexandra “Carmie” Taylor, and the late George and Busher MacDonald; and adored by several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, all are welcome to calling hours on Monday, June 22nd from 9-11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. memorial service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton and burial at Highland Cemetery in Norwood. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Brockton VNA Hospice, 500 Belmont St., Brockton, MA 02301.
