Mary Njoki (Kiaha) Green, 62, of Brockton, passed away on September 13, 2020. Born in Nyeri, Kenya, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Florence (Wangui) Kiaha. Mary was an elementary school teacher for many years until retiring. She was kind and patient to everyone and treated strangers no differently than people she was acquainted with. Her family meant the world to her and she showered her children with endless love and support. Mary was devoted to her faith and prayed daily. She enjoyed music and dancing, watching Nigerian movies, and socializing with family and friends. Mary was the wife of the late Frederick S. Green; beloved mother of Jennifer Kibicho of Wisconsin, Carol Kibicho and her husband Don Macharia of Texas, Valentina Kibicho and her fiancé Israel Henshaw of Brockton, Lucy Wanjiru of Kenya, Peter Kiaha and his fiancée Vivian Wainaina of Brockton, and Richard Kiaha of Brockton; special aunt of Tony Wachira; stepmother of Jonathan F. Green, Stacy Y. Dupont, Alfred B. Green, and Brenda Johnson; grandmother of Njoki, Munbi, Nolan, and Gabrielle; sister of Joe Gitahi, Regina Kagori, and the late James Kanyeki, John Keen Githaiga, and Margaret Wangechi; sister-in-law of Asmahan. Mary also leaves many additional family members and friends. All are welcome to her funeral service on Sunday, Sept. 20th from 2-4 p.m. in Grace and Faith Anglican Church, 1095 South St., Bridgewater and on Monday, Sept. 21st at 10 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, with visitation in the funeral home beginning at 9 a.m. Burial to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
