Mary S. (Boroskas) Carleton, 79, of Brockton, passed away suddenly on November 15, 2023. Born in South Boston, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Susan K. (Yarmalavich) Boroskas. Raised in Brockton, Mary resided in New Hampshire for over 30 years before returning to Brockton where she remained. She was employed by New Hampshire College for many years as a receptionist in the admissions office.
Devoted to her faith, Mary was an active Catholic Church communicant wherever she lived. She was a longtime member of St. Casimir Church in Brockton, while in N.H. she attended St. Pius Church for many years, and in recent years attended St. Michael Church in Avon. She was artistically gifted and enjoyed playing the piano.
Mary was the beloved wife of Frederick A. “Buzzy” Carleton Jr. for almost 60 years; loving mother of Adam Carleton of Wareham and Kathryn Hilmar (and Shaun) of Danbury, CT; dear grandmother of Zachary Casavant, Rachel Casavant, Samuel DeSantis, and Danek Hilmar; great-grandmother of Zerxes Casavant; sister of Constance Grein Yuskaitis (and John) of W. Yarmouth and Michael Boroskas (and Susan) of Manchester, N.H.; and an aunt of many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Following cremation, all are welcome to calling hours Sunday, Nov. 19th from 1-4 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton, her funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Monday, Nov. 20th at 9 a.m., funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 87 N. Main St., Avon. Private committal.
