Mark S. Chapelle, 70, of Avon, passed away June 2, 2021. Native of Brighton, he was a son of the late Harry and Frances (Kelly) Chapelle. Mark was retired from many years with American Sweeper in Boston. He was a bartender at VFW Post 8892 in Avon, a member of Randolph Elks and Polish White Eagles, and he loved to play golf. Mark was the beloved husband of Kathy (Hughes) Chapelle for almost 35 years; loving father of Mark Chapelle and his wife Allison of Plainville, Melissa and her husband Justin Tilley of Bridgewater, and Matthew Chapelle and Samantha Fitzgerald of Brockton; dear grandfather of Mason, Connor, Corrine and soon Chloe; brother of Paul Chapelle and his wife Dottie of Hopkinton, Richard Chapelle of Thailand, Eugene Chapelle of California, Scott Chapelle and his wife Regina of Pembroke, and his late twin Marcia Chapelle; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Sunday, June 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, his funeral Monday, June 7 at 9:30 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home, funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Edith Stein Church and burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Avon. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Jimmy Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
