Marie Rose (Chery) Ambroise

Marie Rose (Chery) Ambroise, 90, of Avon, passed away on August 3, 2025. Born in Port Salut, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Casneuve Chery and Aidée Jean Pierre. Marie Rose immigrated to the United States in 2000. She loved keeping up to date with the current affairs of Haiti, listening daily to Haitian news and talking with family members abroad. Marie Rose was a talented seamstress and loved listening to music and relaxing by the television.

Marie Rose was the wife of the late Francois Ambroise; beloved mother of Marie Lourdes Ambroise-Bazne and her husband Bernard of Canton, Djeanine Ambroise and her husband Daniel E. Fils of Avon, Frantz Ambroise and his wife Maxia of Brockton, Gino Ambroise of Haiti, Johnny Ambroise of Brockton, and the late Suzette Ambroise; stepmother of Jimmy and Billy Jean Ambroise; loving grandmother of Bernard “Taton” Bazne, Sebastien Russeau, Emmyshah Casseus, and Jayden Ambroise-Perry; sister of the late Yvanne Chery, Franck Chery, and Lucene Chery; and a cherished aunt of Jacqueline, Wilkens, Vilner, Mona Duclair, Junot, Ossel, Leveque, Ketty, Micheline Chery, Neocles, Junot Duclair, and Widith Rigodon. She also leaves Yvrose Lamerique and Jackson Junior Sanon and family.

All are welcome to her wake service on Friday, August 15th from 5-8 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, her funeral from Waitt Funeral Home on Saturday, August 16th at 9 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Michael Church, 87 North Main St., Avon. Private committal. Live streaming will be available.
