Marie Gertrude Bordes

Marie Gertrude Bordes, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, at the age of 93. She was born on May 5, 1932, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where her life journey began with the strength and resilience that would define the incredible woman she became.

Marie was an amazing woman with a strong heart and a beautiful spirit. She was known for always being there for everyone, offering love, wisdom, and comfort whenever it was needed. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support made her a pillar of strength for her family and all who knew her.

She was the proud mother of five children, whom she loved deeply and raised with dedication, care, and determination. Through them, her family continued to grow, and she became a beloved grandmother and great-grandmother to many. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent surrounded by family.

Marie had a special gift for bringing people together. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and love, where everyone felt welcome. She touched many lives with her strength, compassion, and the genuine care she showed to others.

Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and family. Though she will be deeply missed, Marie Gertrude Bordes will forever live in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those who had the blessing of knowing her.

All are welcome to her viewing on Saturday, March 28th from 9-10 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. funeral service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Burial to follow at Central Cemetery, 327 North St., Randolph.

Reception following her funeral will be held at The Perfect Place, 2039 Main St., Brockton, MA 02301.
