Marie Beatrice Allen (DosSantos), 84, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on August 4th, 2025 in Franklin. Born in Boston on August 8, 1940, Marie studied business and accounting at Bentley College. In addition to devotedly raising her family, she worked for over 34 years at Burger King in Brockton, MA and was well-respected and appreciated by both customers and co-workers. Marie loved cooking, baking, the beach, swimming and sunbathing, crocheting Afghan blankets for her loved ones, and cherishing time with her grand- and great-grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in passing by Donald R. Allen, her husband of 45 years, in 2005. She is survived by her sister Jean Young and family of Mashpee, three children Doreen Allen Kellum and her husband Neil Kellum (Kaitlyn and children); Kurt Allen and Gaibryl Rock (grandson to Kurt); and Todd Allen; her five grandchildren: Kevin Linehan his wife Katie and grandchildren Griffin and Siena; Ryan P. Linehan and his wife Rebecca and grandchildren Olivia, Victoria, Ryan Jr. and Amelia; and Elizabeth Linehan and Fiancé Robert Cotter; Andrew T. Allen and partner Sara Megivern and Eryn D. Allen and Fiancé Walter Beauchamp III; and her close companion Salvatore Bruno as well as countless additional family and friends. Marie will be remembered for her hard work, selfless devotion and dedication to her family, and her love and laughter were cherished gifts to all who knew her.
All are welcome to a memorial calling hour Monday Aug. 18th from 10 to 11 a.m. and her memorial service at 11 a.m. all at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton followed by burial at Milton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to your favorite senior center or hospice.
