Marie Treggiari Obituary

Marie G. (Bernard) Treggiari, 90, of Taunton, formerly of Easton and Brockton, passed away Jan. 26, 2021. Born in Malden on Oct. 20, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve (Roy) Bernard, and she graduated from Everett High School. Marie married Arthur Treggiari in 1951 and they raised their family in the Boston area and Brockton. She had several jobs over the years but was employed by the Brockton Public Schools as a liaison for Title I students and later for Aetna in Brockton, retiring from there in 1994. Marie enjoyed square dancing, was a watercolor paint artist, and went to Clown School in Florida where she wintered for many years. She made the best of her time but always missed Arthur since his passing in 1995. Marie was the beloved mother of Elaine MacEachern, Terri Colombo Talbot, Janis Dellarocco, Donald Treggiari, Scott Treggiari, Richard Treggiari and the late David Treggiari; loving grandmother and great-grandmother of many. She was the loving sister of Dorothy Gomez, Joni Dunn, Linda Lea Bernard, and Donald Bernard. A memorial will be held at a later date and burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in her name to the Perkins School for the Blind or My Brother’s Keeper in Easton.
