Marie N. Michel

Marie N. Michel, 83, of Brockton, passed away at home on April 18, 2025.  Born in Jérémie, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Michel and Datira Michel (Louis) Idal. Marie immigrated to the United States during the 80s, residing in New York for a few years, before making her home in Brockton. She worked in healthcare for many years, working at The Guardian Center in Brockton for 21 years and BAMSI as a home health aide for many years, eventually retiring in 2013. Marie was a woman of God and enjoyed daily prayer.

Marie was the mother of one cherished son; beloved sister of Edleine Idal, Adrienne Leon, and Yanick Idal, all of Brockton, and others residing in Haiti; and a dear aunt, cousin, and friend of many.

Family and friends are welcome to visitation on Friday, May 2nd from 9-10:30 a.m., followed by a 10:30 a.m. funeral service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl St., Brockton. Live streaming of Marie’s funeral will be available.
