Marie Liziana Civil, 86, of Brockton, passed away on August 14, 2024. Born in Michel, Léogâne, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Lemoine Civil and Carilia Mius. She immigrated to the United States in 1985 and worked as a certified nursing assistant for many years until retirement. Marie enjoyed a quiet, simple life and enjoyed going to church and reading her bible.
Marie was the beloved mother of Anthony Jeudy of Brockton, Beatrice Jeudy and her husband Jude Cherie of Brockton, Maude Civil and her husband Claremont Barlatier of Brockton, Guips Civil of Dedham, Darlyne Civil of Taunton, and the late Bourget Jeudy; stepmother of Eddy Jeudy, Hermoine Jeudy, and Andre-Fils Jeudy; loving grandmother of Akeem, Kareem, Anthony, Sabrina, Brittney, Jude-Jamar, Bryan, Bradley, and Leah; and Godmother of Ansdher Civil. Marie also leaves many additional family members to mourn her passing.
All are welcome to her viewing Friday, August 30th from 9-10:30 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton, her funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 87 N. Main St., Avon and burial at Calvary Cemetery, 95 N. Cary St., Brockton. Live streaming of Marie’s funeral will be available.
