Marie Cezaire

Marie Cezaire, 82, of Whitman, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025. Born in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Anecia Cezaire and Desilia Jean-Baptiste. Marie was the beloved wife of the late Elifaite Vilus.

She was the devoted mother of Yveda Vilus and her husband Jean Legrand of Orlando, FL, Jean Berthin Vilus and his wife Ada Yesenia Oliva Sainchez of Honduras, Jean Laurent Vilus and his wife Nadege of Montréal, Canada, Camelite Vilus of Whitman, Luthene Vilus and his wife Marie Yves of Montréal, Canada, and Marie Nadia Vilus and her husband Jean Jeremy of Montréal, Canada.

Marie was the cherished grandmother of Jean Bertranschamgar Vilus, Marie Laurana Deigeline Vilus, Hendiah Winnie Vilus, Carmelo Felix, Kerby Felix, Stevenson Felix, Sébastien Vilus, Derry Vilus, Jean Wallace Legrand, Schnidah Legrand, Larah Jérémie, James Junior Vilus Oliva, and Steven Jean Vilus Oliva. She was also a loving sister to five siblings and a proud aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at her funeral service on Friday, October 10th at 10:00 a.m. at Haitian Assembly of God, 204 Court St., Brockton. A viewing will be held at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton. Live streaming of Marie’s funeral will be available.
