Marie Rose (Merthus) Bien-Aimé, 72, of Brockton, died tragically on November 17, 2020. Born in Petite Rivière de l’Artibonite, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Sauveur Merthus and Telusma Arisma. She was a longtime communicant of Christ the King Parish. Marie was a talented seamstress and had worked as a personal care assistant for many years before retiring. Prior to that, she had worked at Lelene Restaurant in Mattapan, cooking delicious Haitian cuisine. She was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed. Marie was the beloved wife of Venant Bien-Aimé; loving mother of Marc Sauveur Bien-Aimé of Brockton, Lisène Belceus of Brockton, Jean Eugene Bien-Aimé, Marie Venante Bien-Aimé, Anna Bien-Aimé, Yolande Bien-Aimé, Emmanuel Bien-Aimé, Julide Bien-Aimé, Gislaine Bien-Aimé, Saveny Bien-Aimé, and Gislande Bien-Aimé, all of Haiti; dear grandmother of 21; sister of Viergella Merthus, Saintalia Merthus, Sonia Merthus, and Vernet Merthus; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Wednesday, December 2nd from 4-7 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, her funeral Mass Thursday, December 3rd at 10:30 a.m. in Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton (60 people maximum occupancy) and burial at Melrose Cemetery.
