Margery A. (Johnson) DaSilva

Margery A. (Johnson) DaSilva, 97, of West Yarmouth, passed away on March 2, 2026. Native of Brockton, she was a daughter of the late Vintant “Winky” and Anna (Poskus) Johnson, and graduated from Brockton High School in 1947. She was a communicant of St. Casimir and St. Michael Churches and a member of 20th Century Catholic Club of Brockton. Margie worked in accounts payable for Balsam’s Gift Shop at Westgate Mall for 20 years. She was a V.P. of Senior Bowling League of Brockton and enjoyed being with her family and watching the Red Sox, Patriots and golf.

Margie was beloved wife of the late Orlando J. “Cappy” DaSilva for 77 years; beloved mother of Ann Marie Forbes of Carver, Susan C. Johnson of Middleboro, Margery A. “Margie” Studenski of Carver, Michael J. DaSilva and his wife Lynne of Franklin, and Thomas O. DaSilva of Carver; cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister of the late Marilyn Yesonis, Dorothy Spagna, Regina Garnier and Thomas V. Johnson; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to calling hours on Mon. March 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a 12 p.m. funeral service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton and burial at Calvary Cemetery. Live streaming of Margery's funeral service will be available.
