Luphete Pierre Florestal

Luphete Pierre Florestal, 88, of Holbrook, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on November 15, 2024. Luphete was born in Thomazeau, Haiti to the late Orius and Antoinette (Leon) Florestal. He worked as a journalist and writer for many years until his retirement.

Luphete was the husband of Claire Marie (Pierre Louis) Florestal; father of Berline Florestal Vincent and her husband Alixon, Ehly Florestal, Clarck Florestal and his wife Regine, and the late Berlioz Florestal; grandfather of Yedjhana Labady, Kemyssa Labady, Berlioz “Beji” Florestal II, Berto Jourdain Florestal, Regina Florestal, and Karl Florestal; brother of Armide Florestal; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.                             

All are welcome to visitation on Saturday, November 30th from 8-9:30 a.m. followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral service at New Jerusalem Evangelical Baptist Church, 871 N. Main St., Randolph, MA 02368. Burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, 245 North St., Randolph, MA 02368. Live streaming of Luphete’s funeral will be available.

Luphète Pierre Florestal, né des œuvres légitimes de Orius Florestal et d’Antoinette Léon, a vu le jour le 10 octobre 1936, à Thomazeau, Haïti. Marié avec Claire Marie Pierre Louis, il était père de Clarck, Berline, Ehly, et du défunt Berlioz Florestal. Après avoir vécu 88 ans au cours desquels il s’était toujours mis au service des communautés où il évoluait que ce soit comme écrivain, éducateur ou journaliste, il a rendu l’âme le vendredi 15 novembre, à l’aube du jour, après un peu plus de deux ans de maladie, au Holbrook, Massachussetts, USA. Ses funérailles seront chantées le samedi 30 novembre prochain, à 8h du matin, à l'Église Évangélique Baptiste de la Nouvelle Jérusalem, sise au 871 N. Main St, Randolph, MA, 02368.
