Lucie Barlatier Jean Charles, 94, of Stoughton, passed away on October 31, 2025. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Wilem Lafrance and Melly Jean Charles. Lucie immigrated to the United States in 1995, living in New York and Boston for a few years before settling in the Brockton area.
Lucie was the wife of the late Innocent Barlatier; beloved mother of Clermont Barlatier of Brockton, Louis I. Barlatier of Randolph, Winifred Julien Barlatier of Brooklyn, New York, Yolene Barlatier of Stoughton, and the late Marc Barlatier, Jacquleine Samie Decembre, and Adrienne Durosier; and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother of several grandchildren. Lucie leaves many additional family members to mourn her passing.
Family and friends are welcome to visitation on Friday, November 14th from 9-10 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. funeral service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl St., Brockton. Reception immediately following services will be held at Ben-Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church, 31 West St., Randolph.
