Lorraine T. (Smith) Brown, 93, of Danvers, died April 27, 2021. Raised on her family’s Smith Farm in Avon, she later began a longtime career with New England Telephone and was a member of Telephone Pioneers. She lived in Waltham then in Brockton for 30 years. A devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox, she rarely missed watching a game and enjoyed collecting Sox memorabilia. She was the wife of the late Frank Brown, Jr.; sister of the late Mary and Edward Mahoney, cherished Aunt of Michael and Dona Mahoney and the late David Mahoney; she was adored by her family of grand and great-grand nieces and nephews; beloved stepmom to Inez Taylor, Frank Brown, and the late Kathryn Bohenstiel; grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of nine. All are welcome to her Memorial Mass on Wed. May 12 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Michael Church, 87 North Main St. Avon and burial at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to one of Lorraine’s favorite charities: Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Rd., Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.
