Lillian G. (Belcher) Bryan, 87, of Hemet, California passed away on April 2, 2018 at home under hospice care. She was born on February 9, 1931 in Braintree MA to the late Reginald and Mary (Riley) Belcher. She was married to the love of her life, Matthew F. “Obie” Bryan for over 69 years. Lil was devoted to her family and home. After retirement she and Obie loved to travel in their 5th Wheel visiting all over the U.S. They especially enjoyed visiting Massachusetts where most of their family lived. Lil was a member of the Red Hat Society. She liked trips to the casino, shopping, and playing cards, especially the game Hand and Foot.
Lillian was the beloved mother of Carol Johnsen (Glen); Kathleen Small; Richard Bryan (Anne), and the late Francis Bryan; loving grandmother of 10; great-grandmother of 24; sister of Kathleen “Kay” Rudack, John Belcher and the late Mary D’Andrea, Charles Belcher, Reginald Belcher, James Belcher and William Belcher; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to gather on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton for her 11 a.m. memorial service followed by burial at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
