Lewis J. Smith

Lewis J. Smith, 80, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away on August 20, 2025. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Claire (Fritz) Smith. Lewis worked for John Hancock Insurance Company in Boston for over 30 years, retiring as supervisor. He was a Third Degree life member of the Knights of Columbus in Abington and Brockton and was a past Grand Knight. An avid New England sports fan, he enjoyed playing golf in his earlier years.

Lewis was the beloved husband of Rosanne (Jones) Smith; loving father of Maureen A. Smith of Lawndale, CA and the late Timothy M. Smith; dear brother of Richard Smith of Rockland and his late wife Pat Casey Smith, and Gail Thibeau of Rockland and her late husband Douglas; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.
