Lawrence W. Snow, 96, of Brockton, passed away Sept. 6, 2023. Native of Cambridge, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired Boston Gas supervisor after many years there. Larry was a member of V.F.W. Post 1046 in Brockton and American Legion, and an active parishioner at St. Nicholas Church in years past. He enjoyed reading and watching baseball and football. In 2000 he received his Cambridge High School diploma during Operation Recognition. He was the husband of the late Mary Rita (Gillis) Snow; beloved father of Jean Marcella (and the late Paul) of Kingston, James Snow (and Ann Marie) of Dorchester, Robert Snow (and Doreen) of Belfast, Maine, Eileen Martin (and the late Christopher) of Wareham, William Snow (and Linda) of Whitman and the late Elizabeth A. "Liz" Snow; dear companion of Claire Dauwer; loving grandfather of Jamie, John, Jeannette, Matthew, William, Bradi, Sarah, Susan, Stephanie, William and Katie; great-grandfather of 12; brother of the late Elmer, Edwin and Frank Snow and Helen Sherry; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to calling hours Sunday, Sept. 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. and his funeral on Monday at 12:30 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton and burial at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
