Laurene L. (Bernoskevich) Spadea

Laurene L. (Bernoskevich) Spadea, 78 of Brewster, passed away unexpectedly August 25, 2024 at Cape Cod Hospital. Born and raised in Brockton, she was a daughter of the late Nellie (Klamins) Langer and William Bernoskevich. She graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School in 1964 in Brockton and from Aquinas College in Quincy where she earned an Associate's Degree.

Laurene had two careers, first in banking in the 1980's when she worked at Whitman Savings Bank, becoming the Pembroke branch manager, then as an overnight supervisor for Christmas Tree Shops for over 25 years, retiring in 2019. Laurene lived in Brockton all her life until moving to Brewster at that time. She was an avid and animated Boston sports fan, especially for the Patriots, and she also enjoyed watching golf. Laurene loved knitting and decorated her home for every season and holiday from top to bottom featuring a perpetually ever-changing tree.

She was the beloved mother of Gina Dupont and her husband Mark of Brewster and John Spadea Jr. of Brockton; loving Grammy of Olivia Spadea and Christopher and Ryan Dupont and her granddogs Lucy and Coulson; and sister of the late William Bernoskevich Jr. Laurene will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by family and friends.

All are welcome to calling hours Tuesday, September 3rd from 9 to 11 a.m. and her funeral service at 11 a.m. all at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton and burial at Melrose Cemetery. All are invited to celebrate her life after the burial , at the Brockton Country Club, 265 Samuel Ave, Brockton, MA 02301.
