Kevin P. Creedon

Kevin P. Creedon, 78, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born in Brockton to the late Robert S. Creedon and Kathryn (Connors) Creedon, Kevin was the beloved husband of Sue Ann (Wetterholm) Creedon, his cherished “Suzy,” with whom he shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. He was the loving father of Brendan Creedon and his wife Ashley of Easton, Sally Creedon Mooney and her husband Gavan of Milton, Patrick Creedon and his wife Katie of Bridgewater, and the late Kevin P. Creedon Jr.; and the proud grandfather of Milly, Owen, Emmett, Finn, Ryan, Tyler, and Dylan. He was the brother of Robert S. Creedon Jr. and his late wife Geraldine of Brockton, John F. “Jake” Creedon and his wife Shirley of Easton, Michael C. Creedon and his late wife Linda of Cotuit, and Brian C. Creedon and his wife Andrea of Brockton. He was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. 

Kevin grew up on the East Side of Brockton, graduating from Monsignor Coyle High School in Taunton and Boston State College. He began his career as a probation officer and later served as an assistant clerk-magistrate at Taunton District Court. In 1984, he became Clerk-Magistrate at Brockton District Court, a position he held with great pride until his retirement in 2021. Kevin truly loved his work and the people he encountered along the way. He was deeply respected by his colleagues and the many people he served, and his career brought him lifelong friendships and countless memories.

Above all else, Kevin was a devoted family man. He treasured his time with Suzy, his children, and especially his seven grandchildren. He could most often be found on the sidelines, proudly cheering on his grandchildren and rarely missing an opportunity to watch them compete. He took great joy in their accomplishments and was happiest simply being part of their lives.

Kevin loved the game of golf, especially at Thorny Lea Golf Club, where he was a member for more than 35 years. He was also a dedicated member of the Brockton Y.M.C.A. where he could be found almost every day—whether working out, having lunch, or simply gathering with his brothers and friends. He loved the camaraderie, the familiar faces, and the friendships that became such an important part of his daily life.

Kevin had a gift for making people feel welcome and accepted. He was happiest surrounded by the people he loved, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and memories that will be treasured by those who knew him.

All are welcome to attend calling hours on Wednesday, August 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. His funeral will be held Thursday, August 27, gathering at Waitt Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
