Kenneth A. Spaulding Sr., 89, of Brockton since 1959, died peacefully Aug. 10, 2025 after recent complications of ALS. Native of Burlington, VT, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War in Tacoma, WA. A printer by trade, he owned Kenway Press in Brockton from 1968 to 1990. He was an active communicant of St. Nicholas and St. Edward/St. Edith Stein Parishes, was a volunteer eucharistic minister at Brockton Hospital, and enjoyed gardening, traveling, boating, and sea fishing. Ken was the husband of the late Thelma A. (Boucher) Spaulding, beloved father of Kenneth Spaulding Jr. (and Lynn) of Middleboro, the late Marilyn Martin (and Fred of Taunton), Cindy Heffernan (and Gary) of Brockton and Kevin Spaulding (and Carol) of Myrtle Beach, SC, loving grandfather of 8; great-grandfather of 3; he also leaves family in Vermont. All are welcome to calling hours Tues. Aug. 19th from 4-7 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, his funeral Wed. Aug. 20th at 9:30 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home, funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Edith Stein Church and committal at 1:15 p.m. at V.A. National Cemetery, Bourne.
