Karam J. Matta, 72, of Brockton, formerly of Bridgewater, passed away at home on April 8, 2022. Born in Deir El Ahmar, Lebanon, he was a son of the late Youssef and Najla (ElKozeh) Matta. Karam was a talented tradesman and master upholsterer, restoring historical furniture, boats, cars, and creating high end furniture. He was a jokester and a devoted family man.
Karam was the beloved husband of Nancy J. (Zaccaro) Matta; loving father of Joseph M. Matta of Brockton and Michael K. Matta and his wife Andrea of Attleboro; dear grandfather of Page and Jace Matta; brother of Carol Saad of Brockton and her late husband Alfred, Marie ElKozeh of Canada and her late husband George, Rafca Khoury and her husband Massoud of Lebanon, and Rafic Matta and his wife Vera of Bridgewater; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to his calling hours Wednesday, April 13th from 4-8 p.m. with an Incense Service at 5 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, his funeral Thursday, April 14th at 9:30 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home, the Service of the Divine Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. in St. Theresa Maronite Church and burial at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
