Judith D. (Murphy) Nadeau, 73, of Brockton for over 40 years, passed away on June 30, 2021. A native of Roxbury, she was the daughter of the late William Murphy and Roberta (Kelly) Collins. Judy was a cashier for 25 years at the Shaw’s on the Eastside of Brockton before retiring in 2013. A member of Hanson Athletic Association, she was an avid bowler for many years. She enjoyed puzzles, scratch tickets, and attending her grandchildren’s special events.
Judith was the beloved wife of Ernest J. Nadeau Sr. for 49 years; devoted mother of Toni Horner (and David) of Pembroke, Ernie Nadeau Jr. (and Joanne) of Brockton, Phillip Nadeau (and Tracy) of Brockton, and Tim Nadeau (and Pattie) of East Bridgewater; second mother to Jamie McKay of Hanover; loving grandmother of Nathan, Ian, Molly, Skylah, Jillian, Travis, Avery, Teagan, and Savannah; sister of Leslie Pietrafitta of Middleboro, Larry Murphy of Whitman, Leona Bechtold of Bridgewater, and the late Bill “Skip” Murphy, Roberta Cugini, and Karen Cedrone; and a beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to calling hours Tues., July 6th from 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, her funeral service Wed., July 7th at 11 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home and committal at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The Jimmy Fund or Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
