Juan Matos Obituary

Juan Matos, 88, of Brockton, died September 30, 2021. Born in Aguada, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Bernardo Matos and Gregoria Vargas. Juan was a firefighter for the City of Boston for almost 20 years before retiring. He was also the owner of Aguada Market in Boston for many years.

Juan was the husband of the late Rowena J. (Poulos) Matos; beloved father of Dolores Keane and her husband Stephen of Swanzey, N.H., and Lisa Matos and her husband James Armstrong of East Bridgewater; loving grandfather of Alexander Keane, Matthew Matos, and Nicholas Keane; and a great-grandfather of Bailey. Private family funeral.
