Joseph A. Norkus, 81, of Brockton, passed away on February 4, 2024. Born in Boston, son of the late Joseph A. and Sophie C. (Brasas) Norkus, he was a lifelong resident of Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1960. After high school, Joseph entered the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam. He worked at Footjoy in Brockton and as a surface mount technician for GTE. He enjoyed polka music, loved to dance, and would look forward to the annual Lithuanian Labor Day picnics.
Joseph was the husband of the late Rosalie M. (D’Allocco) Norkus; father of Michelle L. Luizzi (and Paul) of AZ and David J. Norkus (and Meghan) of Weymouth, Patricia Flynn of Abington, Lisa Burgess of Bridgewater and the late Michael Flynn; loving grandfather and great grandfather to several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother of Joanne Chuckran of Bridgewater, Mary Foster of SC and the late Michael Norkus.
All are welcome to his graveside service on Thursday, February 15th at 12:30 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery, 95 N. Cary St., Brockton.
