Joseph Patrick Reardon, 52, of Brockton, died February 23, 2020. Patrick was the son of Mary (Maguire) Freeland and the late Thomas F. Reardon; brother of Molly Reardon, Catherine Reardon and her fiancé Thomas Murphy, Wendy Reardon, and the late Thomas F. Reardon Jr.; uncle of John Yobaccio, and twins Daniel and Gina Yobaccio; fiancé of the late Colleen Murphey. Patrick also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Patrick attended many different enriching programs throughout his life, including the Kennedy Day School in Brighton and Cardinal Cushing Center in Hanover. In his youth, he participated in the Special Olympics, was a trophy winning bowler and enjoyed swimming. His life impacted many, having been the Poster Child of Massachusetts, receiving the game ball from the Boston Celtics, and even being featured in a PBS documentary in the 1970s, he truly left his mark. Patrick loved music his entire life and enjoyed attending the Growthways dances. Throughout his many endeavors, Patrick made lifelong friendships and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His family is forever grateful for the support received throughout Patrick’s life and for every one of his wonderful caretakers. All are welcome to gather on Wed., March 4th at 1 p.m. for a 2 p.m. memorial service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton.
