Joseph N. Herisse, 83, of Brockton, passed away at home on August 21, 2024. Born in Gonaïves, Haiti, he was the son of the late Deramite and Louisine (Joasil) Herisse. Joseph immigrated to the United States in 1986, living in New York for eight years before settling in Brockton in 1994. Joe worked at the Holiday Inn Express in Brockton for many years until his retirement and in his free time enjoyed watching T.V. and rooting for the New England Patriots. He was a man of faith and his daily prayers and attending church services brought him great peace. Joe was kind to all and will be greatly missed.
Joseph was the beloved husband of Immacula I. (Brisma) Herisse for 44 years; cherished father of Wisly Herisse and his wife Leli Mardy, Gracia Herisse, and Gracienne F. Herisse, all of Brockton, and the late Larmartine Herisse and Drioux Herisse; loving grandfather of Wistanley Herisse, Anny Doty Herisse, Jean Guilloux Herisse, Wisly Junior Herisse, Ruth Herisse, Jemima Herisse, Esther Herisse, Josiah Herisse, and Chloe Herisse; great-grandfather of many; brother of Roger Herisse of New Jersey; and an uncle of several nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to his viewing Saturday, August 31st from 8-10 a.m. followed by a 10 a.m. funeral service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton and burial at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton. Live streaming of Joe’s funeral will be available.
