Obituary

Joseph A. Cerrato Sr., 87, of Avon, passed away on August 8, 2023. Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Aniello and Arlene (St. Laurent) Cerrato. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a skilled plumber by trade. An avid outdoorsman, Joseph enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He loved the beach and enjoyed trips to the Cape Cod Canal and clamming with his wife. Joseph was a Jack of all trades and master of many! He will be greatly missed.

Joseph was the beloved husband of Patricia J. (Marble) Cerrato for 64 years; loving father of Donna Belleville and her husband Michael of Whitman, Joseph A. Cerrato Jr. and his wife Cheri of Sandwich, Mary Kelly and her husband Kevin of Canton, Daniel Cerrato of East Bridgewater, and Ann Edwards and her husband Robert of Avon; dear grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are private.
