John J. Rigoli, 90, of Salem, NH, passed away July 11, 2020. Born in Waltham to the late Francisco and Anna (Viniziano) Rigoli, he was raised there and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. John worked as a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service at the South Postal Annex, General Mail Facility in South Boston for many years until retirement. John also resided in Brighton, North Reading, Brockton and on Cape Cod until moving to Salem, New Hampshire. John enjoyed cooking and was a life member of the V.F.W. John was the beloved husband of Edith M. (Newton) Rigoli since 1983, loving father of Anna Shover, Kathryn Newton, John J. Rigoli Jr, Lynda Rigoli and Donald Newton; a grandfather and great-grandfather of many; brother of Salvatore “Sam” Rigoli, Francis Rigoli, and the late Sebastian, Joseph and Paul Rigoli and Rose Umbrello, Ann Schultz, Rita Flanagan, Janice Meyers and Marie Kenneday; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews. After cremation John will be in the wall niche at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts. Memorial gifts may be made to your favorite charity.
