John R. Prouty Sr.

John R. Prouty Sr., 82, of Yucca, Arizona and Plympton, Massachusetts, died December 15, 2021. John served in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked in construction for many years.

Born and raised in Brockton, he was a son of the late Wilfred Sr. and Dorothy (Lanoue) Prouty. John was the husband of the late Patricia Prouty; father of John Prouty Jr. and Cheryl Vierbickas, both of Plympton and Yucca; grandfather of Robert Vierbickas Jr. and Alyssa Vierbickas; great-grandfather of Dakota; and a brother and uncle of many.

All are welcome to visitation, Friday, January 28, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Burial with military honors to follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl St., Brockton.
