John L. Drusinskas, 69, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2022. Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Louis A. and Elizabeth H. (Augis) Drusinskas. John leaves his longtime companion Sherylee Hopwood of Brockton, and many cousins and dear friends.
John had worked in retail management for 37 years until his retirement and was a communicant of St. Michael Church in Avon. He was a dedicated and active member of the Brockton community and was heavily involved in city politics and campaigning. John volunteered for many organizations, including the VFW Auxiliary Post 1046, where he was Senior Vice President, and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, active faithful navigator. He advocated for his city tirelessly and will always be fondly remembered and deeply respected. Well done John, now you may rest peacefully.
Following cremation, all are welcome to calling hours Thurs., Dec. 1st from 4-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. closing prayer in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton. Private burial. Memorial gifts may be made to VFW Post 1046, 283 N. Quincy St., Brockton, MA 02302.
