Joanne (Messina) Matta, 77, of Brockton, passed away April 27, 2024. Born in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Nicola and Concetta Messina. Joanne resided in East Bridgewater for almost 50 years. She was retired from Foxborough Company there and enjoyed dancing, shows, casinos and shopping. Joanne was the beloved mother of Gary J. Matta II and his wife Shannon of Brockton and Nicole Boze, a loving grandmother of Jacquelyn Garrity, Gary “T.J.” Matta III and Ava Matta, dear sister of Michael Messina (and his late wife Mary) of Wilmington, and the late Peter Messina and Annemarie Faulkner. Private family service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
