Jed S. Harris

Jed S. Harris, 46, of East Taunton, native of Brockton, died May 23, 2022. An auto enthusiast, he had worked for George’s Service Station in Brockton for many years and was the former owner and operator of Unlimited Equipment. In recent years, Jed was the office manager for SNARE Recovery in West Bridgewater.

Jed was the son of the late Philip and Patricia (Scoledge) Harris; husband of Helen Kell-Harris; father of Philip S. Harris of East Taunton; stepfather of William Sweetman of Brockton, and Daniel Sweetman (and Paisley) of Taunton; grandfather “Pops” of Cash J. Sweetman; brother of Laurie Dephino (and Joe), Paul Harris, Joseph Harris, Jason Harris (and Alecia), Jeff Harris (and Keri), Phil Harris, Danny Harris, and the late Debbie Holt; brother-in-law of Cheryl Kell, Kenneth Kell (and Robin), Ralph Kell (and Michelle), Ron Kell (and Rene), and Kathy Levesque; friend of Chris Anderson, Justin Medeiros, Bobbi and Nico Spinosa, David and Jennifer Chaves, and Celeste Freitas; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews, including the late David Holt. Jed also leaves “his babies”, cats Mr. Samuel L. Catson-Harris and Mr. Catrick Mayhem Swazey-Harris.

Following cremation, all are welcome to calling hours on Thursday, June 2nd from 3-7 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton, casual attire is requested. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts.
