Jean Jocelin Don, 67, of Brockton, passed away on July 8, 2025. Born in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti, he was the son of the late Liliane Janvier and Delinois Don. He studied auto mechanics in earlier years. He then worked as a dietary tech for many years.
Jocelin Don was a serious man in demeanor, but beneath that was a heart full of laughter and warmth. He worked hard yet always made time for his family, embodying the true spirit of the Don legacy. His love was bold, unwavering, and grounded in deep faith—shared effortlessly with everyone around him. Every interaction with him came with a life lesson, often unintentional, because he genuinely wanted the best for others. Whether in heartfelt conversation or a passionate game of dominos, he found ways to teach, love, and enjoy life. Jocelin will be remembered for his faithfulness, his actions of love, his humor, and his always-dapper (or sometimes chelbe) style.
Jocelin was the beloved husband of Marie Mirlene Toussaint. Loving father to Jovenson Don and Mindy Don. Dear father-in-law to Anita Bien-Aime; dear grandfather of Elianna Don. He is also survived by his siblings: Joceline Falaise, Franklyn Don, Luckner Don, Erick Don, Sonie Don, Yanick Console, Marlene Don,Mylande Don, Magalie Joseph, Charles Islande, Voltaire Don, Guiobel Dalegran, Patrick Dalegran, Donald Dalegran, and Claudel Dalegran. He also leaves behind his aunt Yness Janvier; his uncle Janvier Jean Horacius; his uncle Dilavois Cesil; and countless nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
All are welcome to his viewing on Saturday, July 19th, from 8–9 a.m. at Brockton Haitian Church at 940 Main Street, Brockton. Funeral service at 9 a.m. and burial at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton, MA. A repast will be held at Brockton Haitian Church immediately following the burial.
