Jean M. Tunis

Jean Melgame Tunis, 79, of Brockton, passed away peacefully at home on October 20, 2020. Born in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti, he was the son of the late Clerdomi Tunis and Ermite Vertus. Jean was the beloved husband of Marie Chrislané (St. Fery) Tunis; loving father of Marie T. Tertulien and her husband Jean of Brockton, and Marie Annette Tunis, Jean Chrismond Tunis, Marie Christa Tunis, and Jean Mario Tunis, all of Haiti; brother of Marie Lourdes Tunis and Marie Clerna Tunis; uncle of Marie Evelyne Marseille Benoit, Luxon Tunis, Carmel Tunis, Michael Tunis, Wilnick Tunis, and Jean Syllus; and a dear grandfather of many. All are welcome to his funeral service on Tuesday, November 10th at 10 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, with visitation in the funeral home beginning at 9 a.m. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Face masks are required and social distancing must be observed.
